Pet Bereavement

      Bereavement is a state brought on as a result of a loss or death. As with losing a human family member we become bereaved, the same emotions are invoked when we lose our pet family member. There is help available when dealing with pet bereavement.

       We are University of Guelph students who are trained to listen and support callers experiencing grief. We provide a non-judgmental forum in which a caller can express their feelings surrounding the loss (or impending loss) of their pet.

        The APLB is a nonprofit association of concerned volunteers who are experienced and knowledgeable in the tender subject of pet death. Our chatrooms are free and available to anyone bereaving for a beloved pet. Membership is not required for this.
